Council Scrambles with Recall of THREE

PRESS RELEASE January 19, 2018 Four petitions, each containing over 50 pages of signatures, were filed with the Windcrest City Secretary on Friday, January 19th. Three of those petitions were for recalls of City Council Members: Gerd Jacobi, James McFall, and Jim Shelton. The fourth petition was a referendum of the council action on October 16, 2017, which was the effort to establish the Windcrest Volunteer Fire Department Bugle Crew in direct violation of the Windcrest Code of Ordinances. All three council members being recalled (Gerd  Jacobi, James McFall and Jim Shelton) participated in votes which are considered to be in conflict with either the Windcrest Home Rule Charter or in a standing City Ordinance. These men were also obstructing the business of the city by denying new council members information about current city business. They tabled agenda items so that the new council members could not represent their constituents and do their jobs for which the voters elected ...

McFall, Jacobi and Shelton TABLE motions, but not this one!

Officials uses Mis-Information to support their motion.  McFall and Jacobi motioned for ONE meeting a Month and beginning in January 2018 those meeting will be on the 3rd Monday of the Month. (as per City Charter-- Problem is the Charter does NOT state their claim"   During the Dec 4, 2017 City Council meeting Councilman James McFall defended his agenda item for changing City Council meeting to ONE per Month, on the 3rd Monday.  McFall stated: The City Charter says, One meeting per month to be held on the 3rd Monday.  When asked where in the Charter was this written.  MCFall, declared "It's up to you to find it!"   This is the normal "intimidation" employed by the previous council.  McFall was talking out of back side, because the Charter states NO SUCH THING as was Noted by new councilwoman Joan Pedrotti during the discussion of the agenda item.   McFall, Jacobi and Shelton took turns making Motions to Table agenda item after agenda it...

Windcrest VFD Association OUT-Fired

Image
The newly approved and finalized Fire Protection Agreement between Windcrest and the WVFD Bugle Crew, Terminates any and all Relationship with  WVFD Association.   These fellas conducted the fundraising for the Fire Department years.  The WVFD Association has raised millions of dollars since being formed, now they get a slap in the face. Why?  All because Ex Mayor Baxter did not get his way.  Baxter demanded information from the WVFD Association and received what the law requires.  Baxter wanted more, to heck with what the law says.  He threatened to form a new Non Profit if he did not receive the information.,   Baxter's parting shot was to form the new non profit, ie WVFD Bugle Crew, and then make an agreement with then that weeds out the current Association.  His three supporters are still the majority on council.  Baxter's council also gave the City Manager Authority to Negotiate and Finalize this agreement.   ...

This just in:  The e-mail reads as below and includes attachments attached.   Just in case you missed it.  The current council approved this new Volunteer Fire organization.  This part of the threat that if the current Volunteer Fire Association did not turn over certain documents (those not required by law) the city would start a new organization. Gotta wonder what the citizens working the "Fireman's Boot" collections during light up will be told.  Mr. Baxter did mention in Friday's 9:30 meeting the new "Windcrest Volunteer Fire Department Bugle Crew" organization had been filed with the Texas Secretary of State.     As you can see from the documents, these copies were obtained directly from the Tx, Secretary of State.  Check out this site for Documents and video http://wvfdbuglecrew.com   Please pass the word as you are welcome to share the documents attached.     If you recall, Council gave...

Windcrest Mayor's DBGIC,LLC Forfeited

Mayor’s Message: {Quote} Budget Summary” For the sixth year in a row, we will not see an increase in the City’s residential property tax rate.  The tax rate has been reduced by over 30% in the last six years….. With regards to infrastructure and amenities, we are systematically catching up on items that in the past were neglected.    This administration has decreased the Tax Rate by over 30% while the Streets and Alleys deteriorated to the point City council now deems the street in dire need of repairs, so they want a Bond?  Now he wants you to believe they are "Catching" up!     The Cost of such a Bond would be nearly $100,000 .  Let me get this straight!  Reduce tax rates by 30% over 6 years, then declare Windcrest Streets in Dire need of repair so Voters must pass a Bond. Mayor Baxter, declared several times that he would run the city like a business. Remember DBGIC,LLC, the Mayor’s company that was in the news because the Public...
