Just in case you missed it.  The current council approved this new Volunteer Fire organization.  This part of the threat that if the current Volunteer Fire Association did not turn over certain documents (those not required by law) the city would start a new organization.

Gotta wonder what the citizens working the "Fireman's Boot" collections during light up will be told.  Mr. Baxter did mention in Friday's 9:30 meeting the new "Windcrest Volunteer Fire Department Bugle Crew" organization had been filed with the Texas Secretary of State.

  If you recall, Council gave the City Manager authorization to negotiate an Agreement between the city and the fire department.  Needless to say that will include this New Bugle Crew and NOT our current Volunteer Fire Association.

Baxter and Jacobi Spell TROUBLE

Alan E. Baxter and Gerd "Jake" Jacobi are nothing but trouble for Windcrest.  Voters got rid of both of these trouble makers,  now they are trying to convince folks they should be elected again.   During the years Baxter and Jacobi ran city council, the Street fund was depleted to cover their scheme of lowering taxes and lowering permit fees.  They bragged about paying cash for a few street repairs that were completed, but this month, all of those previously repaired areas were Replaced again.  The streets were neglected and the street fund was depleted which caused the need for a $7 Million street bond. Baxter and Jacobi also hired their hand picked Fire Chief Weiderman, to completely destroy our volunteer fire department.  Over 100 years of fire fighting experience was fired.  Then Weiderman proceeded to dismantle the fleet of FD vehicles.  First up was the Ladder Truck.  Every minor discrepancy was written up then he announced the Ladder Truck was not-serviceable.  Wei

Windcrest Taxes & Water Bill

 Windcrest Candidates have all addressed Windcrest Taxes.  The truth of the matter is for the past 8 years the Tax Rate was decreased.  The previous mayor touted he lowered taxes, but actually he lowered the rate.  Your taxes still went up, but by a smaller amount had the rate not been decreased.   Now, because of the lower tax rate the coffers are nearly empty and council is asking you to pass a $7.4 Million Street Bond!  A $2 Million Fire Equipment Bond and the Water District has a $7 Million Bond.  That's $16.4 Million .  Who is going to pay these Bonds?  Windcrest residents with higher water rates, higher taxes.    The Water District has said during their board meeting, what they don't spend they could put into a bank and draw interest.  Dumb, Dumb.  Would you take out a loan so you could put the money into your bank to get interest?  Pay 5% and earn 1.4%, sure sound dumb.   Everyone is talking Bonds.  All this chatter has citizens confused as to exactly why the Bonds ar
